The Bowery Mission Women's Center at Heartsease Home

On Friday, June 18th Senator Gillibrand thanked donors who funded the renovation of the Women's Center garden and supported the Women's Center through the Tree of Hope, a beautiful donor recognition artwork located in the garden.  Attendees included Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly and his wife, Veronica Kelly, who spearheaded the renovation of the garden and the Tree of Hope.

The Boathouse, Central Park 

On Monday June 7^th, nearly 150 guests celebrated and supported The Bowery Mission & Kids With A Promise’s Mont Lawn Camp, a summer camp for at-risk New York City youth.  Six celebrated Broadway performers including, Ivan Rutherford, Peter Lockyer, Deborah Lew, Laura Osnes, Stephen Buntrock and Tony Award Nominated Erin Dilly delighted the crowd with stories of performing on Broadway and breathtaking songs from some of Broadway’s greatest hits.  $125,000 was raised for Mont Lawn Camp.

The Greenwich Country Club, Greenwich, CT

On Monday May 10th, The Bowery Mission and Kids With A Promise held their first-ever fundraiser in Connecticut.  With about 250 guests in attendance at the exclusive Greenwich Country Club, five celebrated Broadway performers including, Ivan Rutherford, Peter Lockyer, Deborah Lew, Laura Osnes, and Jodie Langel delighted the crowd with stories of performing on Broadway and breathtaking songs from some of Broadway’s greatest hits.  $125,000 was raised to support the programs of The Bowery Mission and Kids With A Promise.

11th Annual Valentine Gala

The Allen Room in Frederick P. Rose Hall, Home of Jazz at Lincoln Center

The Bowery Mission held its largest fundraising event of the year, its 11th Annual Valentine Gala, on Monday, February 8, 2010 at 6:30pm in The Allen Room in Frederick P. Rose Hall, home of Jazz at Lincoln Center.  Co-Chairs Veronica Kelly and Richard Horowitz hosted 280 guests.  Our honoree was Katie Couric, CBS Evening News Anchor & Managing Editor, Kristine Johnson and Chris Wragge of WCBS-TV emceed the event.  Tony Bennett performed some of his most iconic songs to the delight of the guests.  The Valentine Gala has become a high-visibility event in New York City, attended this year by such luminaries as May Michael Bloomberg, Police Commissioner Ray Kelly, John & Margo Catsimatidis of The Red Apple Group, Mike Ullman, CEO of JCPenney among others.  The event raised nearly $700,000 for the programs of the Mission.

Fifth Annual Celebration of Hope Auction

The Bowery Hotel, NYC

Nearly 200 guests joined The Bowery Mission Women's Center at Heartsease Home for the fifth annual Celebration of Hope Auction at the chic Bowery Hotel featuring spectacular live and silent auction items, food and drink by legendary Chef Larry Forgione, and live entertainment. The event raised $100,000 in support of the Women' Center. This money will go directly to help homeless women find spiritual, physical, emotional and practical transformation through our intensive residential recovery program.

The Valiant Yacht

On Saturday July 4th, guests celebrated and supported The Bowery Mission & Kids With A Promise’s Mont Lawn Camp, a summer camp for at-risk New York City youth aboard the Valiant Yacht, catered by the Liberty House Restaurant.  The event featured live entertainment, delicious food and front row seats to the Macy's Firework specatular in the Hudson River!  $60,000 was raised for Mont Lawn Camp.
